Mass specrometry setups for proteomic research

Thermo Orbitrap Velos

Thermo Orbitrap Velos coupled with Waters nanoAcquity UPLC

One of the best on the market setups for proteomic analysis. Only 10 pgram (140 attomol) of digested BSA is enough for reliable identification and about 20% protein sequence coverage. As for complex mixtures using 3-hour gradient it can get over 500 identified proteins.
Mass Spectrometry Laboratory has three such systems from which one is equipped with a module that allows to perform ETD fragmentation.

SYNAPT HDMS Waters

Waters SYNAPT HDMS coupled with Waters nanoAcquity UPLC

Waters SYNAPT HDMS hybrid Q-TOF pectrometer is the only one on the market equipped with Ion Mobility module, allowing the separation of isobaric fragments of the analyzed substances. Additionally our setup allows perform ETD fragmentation.

Bruker MALDI-TOF/TOF ultrafleXtreme

Bruker ultrafleXtreme MALDI-TOF/TOF

MALDI is an alternative to electrospray ionization type. This spectrometer offers a very fast and modern laser and advanced ion optics system, which allows to obtain high sensitivity and mass accuracy of peptides analysis. It is used primarily for rapid identification of proteins from gels and to measure the masses of whole proteins.

Bruker AmaZon ETD

Bruker AmaZon ETD  coupled with nanoAcquity UPLC Waters

Highly sensitive ion trap, which has the possibilit of peptide fragmentation by ETD. IT is particularly useful in the analysis of post-translational modifications.

Q-TOF Premier

Waters Q-TOF Premier coupled with nanoAcquity UPLC Waters

Older generation hybrid spectrometer - despite many years of work in our lab it is still used in routine analysis.

Mass specrometry setups for metabolomic research and small molecules quantitation

SYNAPT MS Waters

Waters SYNAPT MS coupled with Waters nanoAcquity UPLC with TRIZAIC technology or Waters Acquity UPLC

The latest generation hybrid spectrometer equipped with nano and standard UPLC. Used mainly in metabolomic and structural research.

Xevo TQ-S Waters

Waters  Xevo TQ-S coupled with Waters Acquity UPLC

The latest generation triple quadrupole mass spectrometer Waters Xevo TQ-featuring novel StepWave ion optics. It is dedicated to the quantification of small molecules and peptides. It equipped with ESI, APCI, APPI, and optionally nanoESI. Our laboratory has two such setsups.

Xevo TQ-MS Waters

WatersXevo TQ-MS coupled with Waters Acquity UPLC or Waters nanoAcquity UPLC

A triple quadrupole mass spectrometer dedicated to routine quantification. It has the ability to work with ESI, APCI, and optionally nanoESI and APPI. Our lab has two such sets.
